PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP - Brad Garrett, left, and Pete Weber are a couple of the key cogs at the OSAAs home office in Wilsonville. The Oregon Schools Activities Association is entering its 100th season as the governing body for prep sports in the state.

"It's 100 years of schools coming together to play by the same rules, to have fair competition and to open up participation for kids," the OSAA's Brad Garrett said. "It's pretty cool to be able to say an organization is celebrating a century."

The organization works to create fair play across its members school whether by enforcing student-transfer rules or by organizing like-size schools into a mix of classifications.

"Participating in high school athletics was a big part of life growing up, and a big reason for what I do today," said OSAA President Peter Weber.
