ESTACADA 12, MADRAS 1 — The Rangers finished the league season with a 12-1 mercy-rule win over Madras cut shot in the fifth inning.

Estacada took the lead in the second inning on Jose Vasquez's two-out triple to right field, and a sacrifice fly by Nate Hagel expanded the lead to 3-1 in the third.

The Rangers broke the game open with a nine-run explosion in the fourth inning that saw three hits, two walks and five Madras errors.

Estacada pitcher Jeremiah May went the distance on the mound, striking out three batters.

The Rangers started the week with a 7-0 win at Corbett. Kayden Settle was hit by a pitch to start the game and came home with the winning run two batters later when Daniel Hunt singled to right field.

Cody Hovda struck out 13 batters before being relieved by Nick Keller in the final inning.

The back-to-back wins gave Estacada (11-14) a third-place finish in the Tri-Valley Conference, but the Rangers finished two spots out of a spot in the 4A qualifier games.

ESTACADA 7, CORBETT 2 — The Rangers pushed across runs in each of their final four innings to score a win over the Cardinals.

Estacada started the scoring in the third inning when Jessica Ott sent an RBI-single to center field.

Back-to-back Corbett errors kept the fifth inning alive, and Estacada took advantage with Chloe Parkinson sending a two-run single to left field to expand the margin to 6-1.

Estacada pitcher Ryann Curtis struck out four while allowing only two hits.

The win allowed the Rangers (7-17) to stay ahead of Corbett to finish fifth in the final Tri-Valley Conference standings.
