Estacada's volleyball team made quick work of Gladstone in a 25-13,, 25-17, 25-14 sweep to start the Tri-Valley Conference season Monday night.

The Rangers put a stranglehold on the match by going up 20-12 late in the middle set after winning one of the longest rallies of the night when Nicole Youngberg sent a left-handed poke down the line for a winner.

Estacada took the set when Chloe Hersey banged a kill off a Gladstone player and into the iron beams above the court.

It was more of the same in the third set, which started with back-to-back aces by Rylie Canifax.

The next point saw Estacada's Sidnee Keller swing for a kill only to have the ball blocked back in her direction. She used a quick reaction to bump the ball back over to the Gladstone side. The Rangers put their next chance away when Lily Avants set a ball into the middle where Makaelyn Jennings buried a kill through the heart of the Gladiators defense.

Estacada kept rolling to go up 8-2 in the set when Jennings hit a hard serve that sent Gladstone's libero diving to the floor. The Rangers took advantage in their next attack when Keller bumped a ball toward the 10-foot line, setting up teammate Emma Radie for a kill.
