As Oregon high school football nears end of 2021 season, here are the latest gridiron playoff projections.

Hood Conference and 4A Tri-Valley Conference are set to make some noise.

While each class has a different method of filling out automatic bids from leagues and the amount of at-large bids, Pamplin Media attempted to decipher the standings and provide a projection of who's in and who's out using current standings and the OSAA rankings.

The football playoffs are scheduled to begin Friday, Nov. 5, across all classifications.

Here's how the local picture would shake out if the season ended today:

CLASS 6A (seed number in parentheses)

Projected league auto bids:

Mt. Hood: Central Catholic (4), Clackamas (9), Sandy (16) 

PIL: Grant (19), Roosevelt (27), Jefferson (26) 

Metro: Jesuit (11), Westview (14), Mountainside (17) 

Pacific: Liberty (22), Sherwood (28), McMinnville (29)

Three Rivers: Lake Oswego (2), Tualatin (1), West Linn (3)

Mountain Valley: West Salem (5), Summit (6), Sprague (15) 

Southwest: Roseburg (7), Sheldon (8), South Medford (31)

Projected at-large bids:

Lakeridge (10), North Medford (12), South Salem (13), David Douglas (18), McNary (20), Tigard (21), Mountain View (23), Barlow (24), Sunset (25), Centennial (30) and Beaverton (32).

Projected matchups:

No. 16 Sandy vs. No. 17 Mountainside

No. 8 Sheldon vs. No. 25 Barlow

No. 3 West Linn vs. No. 30 Centennial

In these projections, Barlow and Sunset seeds were switched to avoid a Bruins v Clackamas matchup in the first round.

Switched Madras and Stayton seeds to avoid Madras vs. Estacada in the first round.
