Estacada baseball comes up short in season opener in Astoria
Estacada High School boys baseball gave up two runs and the lead to Astoria in the final inning, losing its season opener 5-6 to the Fighting Fishermen in a non-league game. The game was played Wednesday, March 16, at Astoria.
The Rangers scored first in the second inning and maintained a 5-4 advantage after the sixth. Estacada went scoreless in the top of the seventh and gave up two runs in the bottom half of the frame to take the loss.
Estacada also dropped its second non-league game losing 2-8 to Banks on Friday, March 18, at Ron Tonkin Field in Hillsboro.
