Rangers earned first in their division during regular season, state meet is May 12-15

The Estacada Rangers Equestrian Team will be sending 10 athletes to the state championship meet and the team won first place in its last area meet.

The state meet will be held May 12-15 at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center in Redmond.

Estacada rode their way to first place for the season in their division with 2,311 total points, besting Sandy with 1,954 points and Barlow with 1,640 points.

The Ranger team also earned the most points at their final meet on April 4-6 at the Oregon Equestrian Center, West Linn, with 787 points. Sandy had 639 and Barlow 523 for that meet.

Saddle seat: Winter Palmateer, first and Amber Haggstrom, third.

Hunt seat: Cassidy Mohr, second.

Dressage: Mohr, third.

Hunt seat over fences: Palmateer, first and Mohr, second.

Driving: Palmateer, second.

Western: Alyssa Cushman, second and Ali Clark, third.

Reining: Carly Leininger, third.

Working rancher: Cushman, second and Carly Leininger, third.

Trail: Leininger, third.

Working pairs: Palmateer and Mohr, first. Amber Haggstrom and Leininger, second. Cushman and Gabby Hartman, third.

Keyhole: Cushman, third.

Figure eight: Palmateer, fourth.

Two man birangle: Palmateer and Mohr, second.

In hand obstacle course: Team A, Haggstrom, Palmateer, Leininger and Mohr, first.

Canadian flags race: Team A, Haggstrom, Palmateer, Leininger and Mohr, second place. Team B, Cushman, Mikayla Kageler, Gabby Hartman, Megan Kendig, third.

Team Versatility: Team B, Mikayla Kageler, Ali Clark, Zack Clark, Megan Kendig, second.

Cow Sorting: Hartman and Cushman, second.
