Portland General Electric is inviting those who fish on the Clackamas River to participate in a photo contest.

Photos of steelhead fishing experiences on the river can be posted on the Facebook group "PGE's Environmental Community" through Friday, April 17 with the hashtag #ClackonTrack.

Winners will be selected by random drawing on Tuesday, April 21.

"With an early run of hatchery fish spawning below River Mill Dam in January and February and a later run of wild fish typically peaking in March, there are plenty of steelhead to celebrate and attempt to catch. This year, PGE wants to see the best photos from your steelhead fishing experience," PGE leaders wrote on the project's website.

The grand prize winner will receive $50 to spend at Sportsman's Warehouse, a PGE dry bag and a free two-night stay at Promontory Park Campground near Estacada. The second prize winner will receive a PGE dry bag and a stay at Promontory Park Campground.

PGE officials encouraged participants to handle fish with care, keep it in the water, avoid poking the gills, and fully support the fish's body weight by holding it horizontally.
