Habitat for Humanity
West Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit that helps families build and improve their own homes.
With a board of directors made up of local community members and a ReStore in Forest Grove, West Habitat for Humanity assists families to build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
There is a way for you to be involved in Habitat for Humanity's goal of getting people into their own homes. Volunteer for a day or become a regular in the following ways.
No previous experience is needed to work on home construction projects. Framing, siding, painting, flooring, fencing, trim work, landscaping, drainage, and finish work happens three days a week, whatever the weather.
A repair volunteer does yard work, exterior painting, major or minor repairs, and more for the elderly, disabled, low-income, and veterans.
Committees assist our mission to build and repair homes on the west side. Serve on an event committee, a home application committee, a repair project committee, and more.
Work in the ReStore at 3731 Pacific Ave. in Forest Grove. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. The store, which accepts donations that are resold to the general public, needs volunteers from all walks of life.
If you would like to be involved but don't swing hammers or work a cash register, you can work in our office by helping staff by assembling newsletters, distributing flyers, filing paperwork, and performing other tasks.
