Weigh in on future uses of the Salmonberry Corrider at one of two upcoming public meetings with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.

The 86-mile stretch of land that connects eight cities, from Banks to Tillamook, is in for a yearlong master planning process that begins with two public meetings: one at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the Oregon Department of Forestry building in Tillamook, 500 3rd St.; another at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Banks Fire Hall, 300 Main St.

The department is considering a proposed trail, rail-to-trail, and rail-with-trail plan for the property.

Those unable to attend may send comments to OPRD; Attn: Rocky Houston; 725 Summer St. NE, Suite C; Salem, OR 97301. Updates on the planning process will be posted at
