Call 503-781-9732.Forest Grove High School's FFA (Future Farmers of America) will host its second annual animal-visitation fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank's "Drive Away Hunger" campaign.

Last year, the theme was "Get the Goat." This year, it's "Deliver the Ducks," as an FFA member delivers two ducks for brief visits to homes and offices in Forest Grove and beyond Thursday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

While it was a challenge last year to keep the goat visits clean, "we have a better plan" this year, according to local FFA Advisor Jami Duyck.

The ducks are a project of FFA member Natalie Lazaro, 2017-18 FFA reporter, who hopes to show them at the county fair next summer.

"For a suggested $20 donation, a FGHS FFA member will visit you or someone of your choice and you can also take a photo with the ducks," Lazaro explained. "All money donated from this event will be given to the Oregon Food Bank to help drive away hunger."

Oregon FFA has partnered with Les Schwab Tires and Wilco Farm Stores to raise money and collect canned food for the food bank.
