Forest Grove woman promoted to Wells Fargo regional management
Wells Fargo announced Friday, Feb. 9, that longtime Forest Grove resident Alisa Johnston has been promoted to regional manager for its Business Banking Group.
Johnston, who has worked at Wells Fargo for nearly eight years, goes from managing a team of "relationship managers" — the bank's term for the staff who work to ensure Wells Fargo is meeting the needs of business customers — in Portland to overseeing the management of teams throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
"Instead of managing one relationship management team, I'll be managing the managers of relationship management teams," Johnston explained.
Johnston is a graduate of Forest Grove High School and Oregon State University. She has worked in the financial industry for more than 36 years, she said, starting her career after college at a small bank in Forest Grove.
Johnston said she is excited about the new position.
"It's a job that I've been hoping for for a long time, working toward for a long time," she said.
Johnston enjoys working with Wells Fargo's customers, too, she added.
"We have fabulous customers, I've got to say," said Johnston.
Although her office is in Portland, Johnston still lives in Forest Grove, and her roots in the community run deep. Her family has been involved with the annual Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance car show — of which Pamplin Media Group is a sponsor — since its founding in 1973.
"We are definitely a community-oriented family," Johnston said.
