On Feb. 12, owner Tammi Howard announced Maggie's Buns' closure on Facebook, stating, "We appreciate all of those who have had the chance to make it in over the many years we've been open. We would love for you come by and celebrate our last day with us this Saturday. We are taking orders for last time cinnamon rolls or pastries. We will still be accepting caterings through March however, after that we will be closed. Thank you all so much for understanding and being such a supportive community, it is just time for us to move on to new opportunities. Have a great rest of your week and we hope to see you in."

Residents still have the chance for a few more days of Maggie's Buns, with the doors officially on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Earlier in 2018, the bakery sold after Maggie Pike announced her retirement.
