Two injured in Forest Grove crash, one arrested
At least two people were hurt in a crash Friday night, Sept. 6, in Forest Grove, according to the Forest Grove Police Department.
Police said two vehicles collided at the intersection of E Street and Pacific Avenue, just west of downtown Forest Grove, and one of the people involved in the crash fled the scene on foot.
The suspect, whose name was not released Friday night, was located by a Hillsboro police dog and arrested about half an hour later, according to Forest Grove police.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash had three occupants, two of whom were hurt. One of the victims was transported to an area hospital via LifeFlight air ambulance. The other was taken to the hospital by ground ambulance. The third occupant was not injured, police said.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, according to police.
The crash was reported at about 9:25 p.m. Friday.
The incident remains under investigation. Police said they expect E Street to remain closed at Pacific Avenue until after 2 a.m. Saturday morning, Sept. 7.
