The Forest Grove Police Department responded to a call at 8:43 p.m. regarding a crash on Gales Creek Road, between Goff Road and Willamina Avenue. A Cadillac Escalade apparently left the roadway and struck a tree, leaving the nearly unidentifiable vehicle wedged against the backyard fence of a home.

Capt. Mike Hall, a Forest Grove police spokesperson, said both occupants were transported to local area trauma centers with serious injuries. Hall said investigators believe the crash was both "speed-related" and "alcohol-related." An investigation is ongoing.

The names of the vehicle's occupants have not been released at this time. Hall said police are unable to provide more details because of the ongoing investigation.
