The facility on Yew Street on the east end of Forest Grove now offers beer, wine and cider in its new 'Z Bar.'Five months removed from its opening late last November, Zesti Carts in Forest Grove is making a name for itself.

"The community has been very excited and welcomed each cart very warmly," Zesti Carts owner Kourosh Pournaderi said. "The place has been busier with the weather warming up, which has allowed everyone the chance to get out, warm up and enjoy the space."

Located on Yew Street on the east end of Forest Grove near Cornelius, Zesti Carts sits on a 1.5-acre lot and offers an expansive park-like environment with a 6,700 square foot covered dining area, a handful of tents, along with a nicely landscaped setting for people to fully enjoy their eating experience.

Additionally, the facility, which originally boasted just a handful of food and beverage carts, now has eight permanent carts and is expecting to see four additional carts arriving in May.

Zesti Carts also provides adult-only options by way of its Z-Bar, which opened in March and offers of-age patrons more than 30 varieties of beer, as well as wine and cider options.

While Pournaderi — who also owns and operates Garden Frog Nursery in Hillsboro — said food and beverage are obviously the predominant theme of the facility, it also strives to provide an inviting and peaceful setting in which to enjoy an evening of food and drink. "Our overarching vision is to create an inviting garden ambiance," he said, "with plans to add lush garden 'rooms' to provide additional seating."

This spring, the facility is open seven days per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with more limited food options on Mondays and Tuesdays. Additionally, the Z-Bar is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Pournaderi did note, however, that individual cart hours vary. Patrons should always check Zesti Carts' Facebook page for individual cart availability.
