Jessica Hart died in early October. Her body was found north of Banks, having been dead for at least two weeks.

WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - Jessica Hart's body was found north of Banks in October.The Washington County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the death of Jessica Hart.

The 42-year-old's body was found and reported to authorities north of Banks on Oct. 17, and investigators said at the time they believed Hart had been dead for at least two weeks.

Syah Redbird, 32, a close friend of Hart and former Portland resident, was found dead near Chico, California, of an apparent suicide in early October, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The investigation, a collaboration between the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Chico Police Department, has found Hart and Redbird spent considerable time together in Oregon in the days and weeks before their deaths, according to the news release.

Family members told police both Hart and Redbird were transgender women.

Hart's body was found in the vicinity of Northwest Sellers and Linklater roads, about 5 miles north of Banks. She was reportedly last seen wearing a camouflage hat, sweater and stretch pants, as well as black Sketchers tennis shoes.

Detectives have already recovered Hart's vehicle, a white 2006 Saab 93 soft-top convertible. The Sheriff's Office described the vehicle as having recently been spray-painted white; it was originally black.

Detectives are looking for anyone who has information about Hart's death, saw her vehicle or had contact with Hart in the past several months.
