Dinner fundraiser for Forest Grove Library Foundation a success, writer says

Library foundation dinner a success

Thanks to more than 200 community members coming out the night of Oct. 26, the Forest Grove Library Foundation raised nearly $2,000 from proceeds of the annual Books 'n Buns dinner. The donated venue space was the Forest Grove United Church of Christ. All the food was donated by Maggie Pike of Maggie's Buns; coffee by BJ's Coffee.

A raffle was also held for a fully catered dinner, provided by Maggie Pike, for eight people; Stephanie Lind won that raffle. And many people went home that night with a mini-Maggie's special cinnamon bun for $1 each.

Thank you to all the library lovers who came out in support, and thank you to all the volunteers who helped serve, bus tables, replenish table settings and clean up, including members of the Forest Grove High School Honor Society, Boy Scouts, Library Foundation members, Library Director Colleen Winters and Rob Foster, for manning the dishwasher again. Special thanks to the epitome of community spirit, Maggie Pike.
