Over the years, Forest Grove has seen its share of culturally diverse eateries. Thai, Middle Eastern, Italian and other cuisines have made their mark on the town's palette, as did Yellow Llama, the city's brand new space for signature Peruvian flair.
Owners Wilson and Kellie Lemmings were trying to open a new restaurant for nearly three years in Chicago, where they worked together in a restaurant and music venue. Shortly after making the move out to Oregon to be closer to Kellie's family, Wilson saw an ad on Craigslist for an open space in Forest Grove.
It wasn't long before they fell in love with the space and the feel of the community.
The empanadas, Lomo Saltado (a steak stir-fry), Seco de Carne (a slow cooked beef dish served with Peruvian beans and rice) and many more authentic entrees have earned the spot acclaim from the town's residents. Wilson and Kellie plan to continue to grow their offerings and rotate items so that things are always fresh and in season.
Wilson hails from Peru, and over the year he and Kellie have both garnered more than enough experience to deliver exactly what they've always wanted to their patrons — a memorable dining experience made up of unique, fresh cuisine and cocktails and excellent service.
For those looking to experience something new and exciting in downtown Forest Grove, there's no better spot to frequent.
