New Chinese Cuisine is back
The wait is over. New Chinese Cuisine is back in Forest Grove.
Owners Feng Li and David Chen began serving at their new location on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 1932 21st Ave., after months of anticipation from the restaurant's devoted fans.
The couple used to run New Chinese Cuisine and Coffee House at the same time, in separate storefronts, but they decided to combine their businesses. The old New Chinese Cuisine location on Main Street had its lease up, and Feng and Chen decided to look elsewhere.
New Chinese Cuisine maintains the same menu it had before, and the owners plan to offer specials often while also serving up food for takeout, Feng said.
For about a month, the restaurant will open at 11 a.m. and stay open until 9 p.m. from Tuesdays to Thursdays, 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9 p.m. on Sundays.
After figuring out the new space, the couple plans to begin opening in the mornings as early as 8 a.m. and to continue serving coffee.
"We love this location," Feng said. "We really appreciate that customers have been waiting for so long and are still following us and asking us how things are going."
