Masque Alfresco will present "The Prime Solution" Jan 31, Feb. 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 at Faith on the Hill Fellowship Hall, 3615 S.E. Hill Road in Milwaukie as part of the Fertile Ground Festival of New Works, a program of Portland Area Theatre Alliance.
Fertile Ground is an 11-day long festival of world premiere acts of creation where dozens of Portland area artists prents new theatrical works, dance and more. This marks the 11th year of the festival, and involves venues throughout the Portland metro area, includ-
ing several in Clackamas County.
"The Prime Solution" was written by Don Teeters and directed by Fayra Teeters of Masque Alfresco.
The play involves Trey and Cristal, genetically engineered father and daughter, who are struggling to understand each other under the regime of a ruling group called The Prime that uses genetic engineering to create a better world.
Destroyed by war, Earth has become a radioactive wasteland. Trey has received a replacement wife who is an exact copy of his deceased wife and seems to know things beyond her classification. And Trey's enhanced DNA is not working as predicted, so attached to his dead wife he can barely function, reducing him from genius to has-been in his own lifetime.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. each day.
