On Sunday, September 24 from noon to 7 p.m. come outside and enjoy food, beer, tournaments and games, vendors and musical performances in Downtown Forest Grove.
Donna Gustafson, the organizer of the event says "My husband and I love putting on events. The Oktoberfest is one more fun way to get families outside. Both visitors and locals can visit our Downtown and see what's there."
2021 was the first time Oktoberfest was held in Forest Grove and it was a huge success. Gustafson says, "We weren't prepared for the number of people who came out. We would have been happy with a couple hundred, but two thousand showed up! We made a trip to Costco. But we are ready and this year there will be more food, more beer and more kid's activities."
Since 2022 is Forest Grove's 150th Anniversary, the Oktoberfest will be focusing on and including celebrations for that as well. A ceramic beer stein with a sesquicentennial logo will be available to drink celebratory quaffs and have a memorial of your good time.
While the Bella Donna Bistro is no longer operating, they will have a baked potato bar during the event. Franko's Hot dogs will have brats with all the fixings, a doughnut vendor and there will be three, yes, three beer vendors for your sipping pleasure. Gustafson says, "We haven't yet confirmed all our vendors so there will be more to come."
Oktoberfest is more than food and drink, it is also about music, fun and games. "We have five musical acts scheduled to perform on two stages and just like last year, carnival games and tournaments," Gustafson says. Forest Grove's own Miles To Go will provide rock, blues, funk and other genres and the Lola and Neil Duo will play blues, soft rock and country tunes. No Oktoberfest is complete without accordion music and two are lined up, as well as a fiddler who will entertain with traditional and modern Irish tunes. The City Club of Forest Grove is the official host of the Oktoberfest and sponsors for this year's event are Gann Bros. Printing, The Forest Grove Mercantile, New Chinese Cuisine, Vex, Pamplin Media, Minuteman Mortgage, Adelante Mujeres and Bella Donna LLC.

"Fall is beautiful in the Pacific Northwest and what better way to celebrate than a family friendly Oktoberfest event in the heart of Historic Downtown Forest Grove," according to Gustafson. Make plans to visit the Oktoberfest this September and have fun!
