Washington County sheriff's deputies say Brian Matsuo opened fire over a bad parking job.

MastuoWashington County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man they sat shot at a vehicle in Rock Creek on June 16.

Brian Toru Matsuo, 39, is charged with first-degree attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree criminal mischief and menacing.

Matsuo was arrested June 25 during an early-morning search of his home by Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

Deputies say Matsuo shot at a car after becoming frustrated over a poor parking job.

The shooting was reported around 3:22 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, near the intersection of Northwest Rock Creek Drive and Landing Drive in Rock Creek, deputies said. Matsuo is accused of firing at least two bullets into a 2007 BMW 3-series sedan, shattering the vehicle's rear window and puncturing the trunk. The people inside the vehicle were not harmed, however.

"The investigation revealed that right before the shooting, the suspect complained about how the BMW had been parked at a nearby business," officers said in a news release.
