Washington County sheriff's deputies are searching for Brown, who has been missing from his home in Cornelius since 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Brown is said to have memory issues and may have trouble finding his way home.

According to pastor Brendan Curran of the Forest Grove United Church of Christ, who spent time with Brown's wife and children Monday morning, Brown — who was born and raised in Astoria — had made mention of looking for his other home. He left the house in a dark blue Nissan Sentra, Oregon license plate number 319KQV.

Brown's daughter, Laurie Saunders, said she reached Brown by phone later Sunday evening and said he wasn't clear where he was. She then told him to stay put and that his son would be calling him shortly thereafter, but Brown failled to answer subsequent calls.

Curran said that members of the church are actively looking for Brown in the Forest Grove and Cornelius areas.

Brown is 5-foot-10 and weighs roughly 210 pounds, and has white hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who sees Brown or has information about his whereabouts should call 503-629-0111.
