Don't Void Your Warranty!
Many people don't realize it, but it's easy to void your HVAC warranty claim. Don't find out that you made a stupid mistake and voided your warranty after the fact. Here are three ways that you might accidentally lose you your HVAC warranty:
Neglecting Annual Maintenance. Proper maintenances keep your system running efficiently and reducing breakdowns. Not only will it reduce breakdowns by up to 95% and lower energy bills by up to 30%, it is also a prerequisite for your manufacturer warranty. Most warranties require the unit to be installed, repaired, and maintained by a licensed professional HVAC technician.
Improper Parts and Installation. Always hire a licensed, professional heating and cooling contractor to install and repair your equipment. Trying to save a couple dollars with the cheapest parts and a "Handyman" will put you at risk for higher breakdowns, inefficient operating costs, safety concerns, as well as a voided warranty.
Forgetting to Register. Usually, you must register your warranty within 60 days of installation. Make sure you also have proof of purchase from a licensed HVAC contractor and register your new HVAC system as soon as you can. If you buy a new heating or cooling system from Honke Heating & A/C, Inc, we will register your equipment for you to make sure that your new system is properly registered and make sure that your equipment gets the proper warranty.
Call the heating and cooling experts at Honke Heating and Air Conditioning so that you can relax knowing your warranty remains in effect.
