These TSA Winter travel tips are provided by Allison Fox, a contributing writer for Travel & Leisure to help Americans navigate flying during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Don't wait to download the free "my TSA app:" TSA suggest that this app be downloaded before heading to the airport to clear up any confusion about what they can and cannot bring, as well as get information on flight delays and where to find TSA Precheck lanes.

Enroll in TSA PreCheck now:  This will expedite travelers through security and create fewer touchpoint as participants do not have to remove their shoes, belts, some jackets and do not have to take their liquids or electronics out of their bags.

Remember your mask: Masks are required in airports and on airplanes, however passengers will be asked to remove it quickly so an officer can verify their identity. Expect to social distance while in line.

Pack the essentials: In addition to masks, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer have become must-have items for flying. Travelers are now allowed to bring up to12 ounces of hand sanitizer - all other liquids are still limited to 3.4 ounces.

Beyond cleaning supplies, the TSA recommends passengers should bring their photo ID's (even if they are expired and haven't be able to renew it,) as well as extra masks - just in case!

It's time to travel again, call Cindy and arrange that trip today.
