Fitting between the Soul and the Sportage in Kia's SUV lineup, the Seltos is the newest small crossover SUV. It is longer than the soul but not as big or as expensive as the Sportage with an MSRP of $21, 990 to $27,990. There are 5 models the LX, S, EX, S Turbo and the top-of-the-line SX Turbo.

The Seltos feels more expensive that it is due to the premium materials. The interior is large enough for four adults, but if you need to haul lots of stuff, you can fold down the rear seats to provide an extra 62 cubic feet of cargo space. An auxiliary audio input and USP with external media control and six speakers come standard.

A rear-view camera and the turn signal light in the mirrors are just two of the thoughtful features that contribute to the outstanding safety features. Each Seltos comes equipped with child seat anchors, airbags and a lane departure warning accident avoidance system.

A combined mpg of 31 miles and a range of up to 448 miles make the front wheel drive Seltos economical to operate. The base 146-horsepower or the more powerful turbocharged engine is rated at 175-horsepower which provides lots of acceleration for a small SUV. There is also an optional all-wheel drive for traction on dirt roads or bad weather.
