A wonderful way to spark your student's interest in space travel is to visit Florida's Space Coast, around the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Just 45 minutes from Orlando, the coast has sandy beaches, world famous surfing and ocean views

One of the best places to visit is the Exploration Tower at the Kennedy Space Center. This architectural landmark is a great spot to watch rocket launches as well as the cruise ships, the surrounding beach, river and spectacular wildlife. Explore all 7 stories with interactive exhibits and activities that the whole family will enjoy.

The Kennedy Space Center offers programs for student groups, where you will meet and train like an astronaut. Visitors will launch, land and walk on Mars through a simulation, solve NASA science and engineering challengers and sleep underneath the space shuttle "Atlantis" on an overnight stay. See everything from spacecraft parts and astronaut suits to Soviet cosmonaut mementos at the American Space Museum and Space Walk of Fame.

If your family or class wants to plan a 2022 visit to the Space center, this is a great time to do so. Tom

Bartosek, of Florida's Space Coast Office of Tourism says "Student Groups find many, varied options for STEM learning on the Space Coast where all American manned spaceflight originated"
