MORE STORIES

Wednesday - October 23rd - Anytime between 4p.m.-7:00 p.m.On October 23rd we are inviting everyone here to Gresham Ford to kick off the 2019 Fill-A-Bag Events. Last year thru the efforts of all involved (and it takes a village) we helped fill SnowCap's Pantry for that first quarter of the year which January and February can be two of the coldest months of the year. The weather often causes schools and businesses to be closed thus making it harder for families to make ends meet (loss of wages and school lunch programs). There is also the Senior on a fixed income whose utility bills are significantly more during these months causing them to have to cut back and we sure do not want them to suffer any pangs of hunger...these are our neighbors (100% of all resources raised for SnowCap stay in our community!!

So 23 reasons to join us here on the 23rd to help fold the collateral that will be inserted in "The Outlook" to spread the word about how all of us can help with "FILL-A-BAG OR FILL AN ENVELOPE".

-Just $.05 can make a difference – SnowCap can buy food from Oregon Food Bank for a nickel a pound.

-Over $.94 of every dollar raised goes directly to SnowCap Clients.

-No one should have food insecurity! – especially children!

-SnowCap helps with a backpack program that makes sure kids have resources to be well fed in the summer and on weekends.

-This is a great reason to clean out your pantry!

-Make raising some cash a family project!

-People who give and volunteer live longer!

-We will have free Pizza at the event!

-You might make a new friend while you are here on the 23rd.

-If you are going to buy something to give we recommend: diapers

-Baby food

-Formula

-Tuna Fish

-Peanut Butter

-A simple $20 donation can provide 400 pounds of food!

-Many of the neighbors that SnowCap serves have come back when they get on their feet and volunteer – it is a great thing to "pay it forward"

-SnowCap also provides clothing for those in need.

-SnowCap offers education and "Recipes" for the fresh items it distributes.

-They allow those they serve to "shop" for their food so that there is less waste and "happy" utilization of all resources.

-We want to thank our partners for this Event – Pamplin Media

-Riverview Community Bank

-So be there Wednesday October 23rd from 4:00p.m.to 7:00 p.m. (at Gresham Ford)

-We would love to see you!!
