I'm sure you are like us. Wanting to do something but not able to do much. Staying on the couch has never been our strong suit. So, what to do? One of the best things I have seen, is the Facebook Page 'Gresham Helping Gresham'

Please join, if so moved, as on it daily there are some small requests that may make a huge difference in some of our neighbors' lives. While we are sheltering at home, we want to help but we just do not know where and this is a creative way to communicate these needs. AND IF YOU NEED SOMETHING OR JUST NEED TO TALK, PLEASE CALL US HERE AT GRESHAM FORD. We want to live our motto "Dealer with a Heart" and do anything within our capabilities to help our neighbors or connect you with someone that can. PLEASE CALL!! 503-665-0102 and ask for me-Bess or Michelle!!

SnowCap is doing a great job getting nutrition to those in need and please get the word out – this is for anyone who needs a little help! Please encourage anyone who may need this help to do so. It is also possible to go and get something for someone in need. Just write their name and address on a piece of paper as you will need to give this on their behalf to SnowCap as they do need to keep track of who/where their resources are being used. Their phone number is 503-674-8785 and currently their hours are Mon-Fri 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Wednesday evenings 6 p.m.-8 p.m. You can also visit their website at for more information.

There are many organizations that are doing great work so please support those non-profits that you are passionate about. It is no secret that I am passionate about the work of SnowCap, My Father's House and Birch Community Services so, if you currently do not have a passion, reach out to them or their websites and see if they could use your time, talents or treasure. "Stay Home – Save Lives" but we must take care of those less fortunate also. It is what makes us human and what makes us Gresham!

You count on us to stay informed and we depend on you to fund our efforts. Quality local journalism takes time and money. Please support us to protect the future of community journalism.
