A Time for Giving
My family is healthy and safe, our business has weathered this crazy storm so far and we've been able to keep our employees working.
This is a season of not only thankfulness, but of giving as well and we must all be a bit more creative this year. Our community has suffered through this hard time, and those small businesses that have survived could sure use our help getting through this stormy year. So, take a stroll through Historic Downtown Gresham and purchase gift cards. There's sure to be something for just about everyone with a variety of salons, restaurants, pubs, desserts, gift shops, bookstores, antiques and more! Shopping local has never been more important.
And if you're looking to help with your giving, SnowCap Community Charities is in desperate need, so making a donation could mean the difference for someone that's having to choose between keeping the lights on or putting food on the table. Cash donations are always needed so please go to www.SnowCap.org/Fill-A-Bag to donate online. Or if you'd like to do some shopping, here's a list of some of their most urgent needs. For food boxes: canned vegetables, soups, stews, chili and fruit, tuna and peanut butter. Care package items needed: soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrushes, lotion, deodorant, razors and shaving cream, hand sanitizers, wipes, baby wipes, dish soap, dishwasher and laundry detergent, toilet paper and paper towels, masks, handwarmers, hats and gloves. For children: activity books, crayons, playing cards, hot chocolate, and candy. You can drop off your donations at Gresham Ford, 1999 E Powell Blvd or Riverview Community Bank, 225 NE Burnside Rd, Gresham.
So, you see, there's always a way to give and there's no better time than now! You'll be Thankful that you did!
