Here come the Ho-Ho-Ho Holidays
Santa will be in the house to visit with youngsters at several community Christmas tree lighting events.
It wont be hard to capture the spirit of the season over the next couple weeks, with the abundance of family friendly events designed to welcome the holidays.
Channel your inner Santa with these community happenings:
City of Greshams 25th annual Spirit of Christmas: 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, Arts Plaza, 401 N.E. Second St. Join Santas parade at 4:50 p.m. in front of the Gresham History Museum, 401 N. Main Ave., for a brisk march to the Arts Plaza, for refreshments, live music and photos with the jolly old elf himself. The 60-foot Ponderosa pine will be lit at 6 p.m.
Troutdale: 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, Mayors Square on the Historic Columbia River Highway in downtown Troutdale. Live music and carolers, refreshments, photos with Santa, who will arrive on a fire truck with Mrs. Claus. Mayor Doug Daoust will throw the switch on the citys tree at 6 p.m.
Fairview: 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, Fairview City Hall and Community Park, 1300 N.E. Village St. Enjoy holiday music, refreshments and crafts, visit with Santa and dont miss the Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest. Tree lighting takes place at 5 p.m.
Wood Village: 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, City Hall, 2055 N.E. 238th Drive. Santa will arrive at 6:30 p.m. bearing free books for children. Refreshments and live entertainment from Reynolds High School choral groups.
Boring Station Trailhead Park: 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 28008 Keller Road. Event kicks off with caroling by flashlight around the tree, which will be lit by Santa at 5:15 p.m. Afterwards, enjoy refreshments and visit with Santa at the Grange Hall. Please bring a nonperishable food donation or gift for the fire departments Christmas basket/Operation Santa program.
