Meet author Molly Gloss

Adults, read "The Jump-Off Creek" by Molly Gloss, and then meet her and discuss the book from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at the Rockwood Library, 17917 S.E. Stark St.

"The Jump-Off Creek" is the story of widowed homesteader Lydia Sanderson and her struggles to settle in the mountains of Oregon in the 1890s. Call 503-988-5123 for more information.

Citizenship classes offered by library

The Rockwood Library is hosting a series of 15 free citizenship classes from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sundays from March 18 to June 24, to help people become U.S. citizens. Participants can study English, and U.S. history and government, to prepare for the naturalization examination and interview.

The classes are taught by SOAR Immigration Legal Services. Study materials will be provided at no cost. The library is at 17917 S.E. Stark St. Call 503-988-5123 for more information.
