MHCC gala fundraiser scheduled for April 21
Mt. Hood Community College Foundation will hold its annual dinner and auction fundraiser from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the college's Yoshida Event Center, 26000 S.E. Stark St.
Individual tickets are $100 and a table for 10 is $1,000. Funds raised at the event provide student scholarships, classroom equipment and special program funds.

Africa comes to Troutdale Library
Habiba, a native of Ghana, will give a free performance for all ages highlighting the richness of West African culture through song and dance from 6:30-7:15 p.m. Monday, April 2, at the Troutdale Library, 2451 S.W. Cherry Park Road.
Habiba offers an interactive, multicultural performance with authentic West African costume, singing and movement.
She involves the audience with simple dance steps, call and response, greetings and phrases, and drumming. Call 503-988-5123 for more information.
Register for digital craft workshop
Kids in grades six through 12 can learn the basics of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape and use the Rockwood Library's makerspace's craft cutters or laser cutters to create amazing designs out of paper, wood, fabric and vinyl.

MHCC hosts April 19 job fair
Mt. Hood Community College will hold its spring career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Vista Dining Center on the Gresham Campus, 26000 S.E. Stark St.
The fair is open to students, alumni and community members. Employers and organizations attending these fairs are recruiting for part-time or full-time employment, internship and volunteer opportunities.
