Two gentlemen from the Oregon-based tire company stopped by last week with a $500 check to help the students with their fundraiser.

Jared Thueson, manager at Les Schwab at 167th Avenue and Division Street, and David Ritchey an employee at Les Schwab on 122nd Avenue and Division Street delivered the check.

The big donation helped Parklane's first graders earn a catered Olive Garden lunch and pushed the school past its goal of $1,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Parklane is in the Centennial School District.

These two Les Schwab locations have been generous to Parklane students before. In December, they donated four bags of toys to Parklane, which helped more than 20 families provide gifts for Christmas.
