Metro parks free June 21, Scouts honored, June 23 road closure in downtown Troutdale

Parking fees will be waived at all Metro parks on Thursday, June 21. The free parks include Oxbow Regional Park, 3010 S.E. Oxbow Parkway; Blue Lake Regional Park, 21224 N.E. Blue Lake Road and Chinook Landing Marine Park, 22300 N.E. Marine Drive.

Local scouts honored

The following young men recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout through the Thunderbird District of the Boy Scouts of America Cascade Pacific Council.

Gresham: Christopher J. Caldwell

Corbett: Kai A. Pelizza

East Multnomah County: Kimball N. Moeaki Jr.

The Eagle Scout award is scouting's highest honor.

Section of Troutdale highway to close June 23

A three-block section of the Historic Columbia River Highway in downtown Troutdale between Southeast Harlow Avenue and Buxton Avenue will be closed Saturday, June 23, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. during the Trauma Intervention of Program Portland/Vancouver's annual Muscle Hustle Fire Truck Pull.  

Southeast Dora Street will be closed between Southeast Second Street and the Historic Columbia River Highway.
