GameTruck stops at Fairview, Leah hosts hikes for tykes, locals graduate from Oregon Connections

The Honeybee Hikes run from 10-11 a.m. Wednesdays, for those ages 2-5 with a grown-up, at Leach Botanical Garden, 6704 S.E. 122nd Ave. After the nature hike, tots get a story and craft. GameTruck makes stop

The popular GameTruck will stop at the Fairview-Columbia Library, 1520 N.E. Village St., from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26.

Teens can rock out on this state-of-the art gaming truck, which boasts dozens of video games, eight flat screen televisions and more. Game coaches will guide teens.

Online academy graduates locals

Oregon Connections Academy, a tuition-free public charter school, had several Gresham-area residents among the 370 students in the class of 2018. Samantha Jester, Benjamin Kenner, Gawyne Lancaster, all of Gresham and Matthew Bourne-Myrick and Cody Timberman, both of Troutdale, graduated from the Mill City-based school.

ORCA's commencement was held Saturday, June 9, at the State Fair and Expo Center in Salem.
