Portland motorcyclist, 20, dies in Gresham crash
A 20-year-old Portland man died after his motorcycle collided with a car in Gresham, police said.
Officers with the Gresham Police Department responded around 3:17 p.m. to the 1700 block of Southeast Orient Drive on Friday, July 6, according to a news release.
Police say the motorcycle rider was already "unresponsive" when they and medical personnel arrived.
The driver of the car, described as a 65-year-old Gresham woman, tried to resuscitate the motorcyclist after the crash occurred, but her attempts at life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
"The driver of the car is cooperating with the investigation, and police do not believe that she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol," a news release reports.
The name of the deceased man has not been released. Anyone who witnessed the crash or the events leading up to it is asked to contact officer Robert Harley at 503-618-2318.
