Wood Village mayor undergoing cancer treatment
Wood Village Mayor Tim Clark has finished cancer radiation treatment and will begin chemotherapy.
City Council President Scott Harden will be available to lead council meetings if Clark is unavailable, according to a press release from the city of Wood Village.
"I continue to give thanks for being a part of this wonderful community which has already blessed us on this journey, and I hope to continue serving the community of Wood Village," Clark said. "Thank you for your thoughts and prayers on my behalf."
Clark was reelected for his fourth term to council in 2016. Unlike other cities, candidates don't run for the mayor's position as it is voted on by councilors in even numbered years during the council's first meeting.
Clark's seat is not up for election on the upcoming November ballot. Clark is the owner of Northwest Network Solutions, a small software company he and his wife started in 1993.
