Troutdale history: Where were you in 1968?
Residents are invited to join members of the Troutdale Historical Society as they wind up the celebration of their 50 years of preserving and documenting local history.
Festivities will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Glenn Otto Community Park. 1102 E. Historic Columbia River Highway, Troutdale. Outlook columnist and THS historian Sharon Nesbit will share photos of the historical society and lead a discussion on where participants were in 1968.
Dust off that leisure suit or bell bottom pants and enter the Best Dressed from 1968 contest. Those attending are encouraged to bring photos from 1968 or other mementos (Tupperware, green stamps, records, etc.) for display. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.
Birthday cake will be served.
