Reuter hopes to increase community involvement
Deb Reuter is seeking a seat on Troutdale City Council as a way to pursue a more active volunteer role in her city.
She has worked as a channel development manager for Dr. Bott, an Apple accessories distributor, and worked in sales for clothing store Jones New York. Reuter declined to disclose her age.
Reuter has no prior government experience. She is running for council Position 5 against Paul Wilcox and Nick Moon. The seat is being vacated by Rich Allen, who decided against filing for re-election.
THE OUTLOOK: Why are you seeking election?
DEB REUTER: It was important for me to get more involved in my community.
OUTLOOK: What would be your focus for City Council?
REUTER: As I have seen from your other articles (in The Outlook) on Troutdale candidates, they have a heart to serve. My focus for the community of Troutdale will also be to serve Troutdale residents in our City Council.
OUTLOOK: What are important issues facing Troutdale?
REUTER: This community is a safe place to live. I will focus on working with other council members to maintain the safety we all enjoy here in Troutdale.
OUTLOOK: What are the attributes that set you apart?
REUTER: My past success in working with others to find solutions in business.
