City awarded $20,000 to construct public rest stop that will included kiosk and water fountain

Travel Oregon awarded the city of Cascade Locks a $20,000 grant to create a public rest stop for visitors and community members. The "Hub" will include amenities such as an information kiosk, water fountain, restroom, showers, electrical outlets, bike parking and repair stations, picnic areas and lockers and storage facilities. Cascade Locks is a popular stop for people hiking, biking and doing other activities in the Columbia River Gorge.

Travel Oregon awarded 23 projects a total of $350,000. In the past decade, more than $4.8 million has been awarded to 150 projects across the state.
