The Sandy River Watershed Council and Depave seek volunteers to plant new rain gardens and bioswales at Mt. Hood Community College, 26000 S.E. Stark St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.
In May, volunteers ripped out asphalt in the college parking lots to make way for the rain gardens. Two creeks run through the campus, and the effort will clean runoff from the parking lots and improve the watershed. All-ages welcome. Snacks and materials provided Register at https://depave.org/event/mhccplantingparty/.
