Law enforcement officers seek public assistance to identify homicide victim

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has arrested Portland man Martin Gallo-Gallardo, 45, for the alleged murder of his wife Coral Rodriguez-Lorenzo, 38. Rodriguez-Lorenzo's body was found by an employee of Camp Namanu in a ditch on Southeast Camp Namanu Road in the Bull Run/Sandy area around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28. She had been listed as a missing person out of Portland, but was unidentified when found.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined the woman died of homicidal violence.

In partnership with the Portland Police Bureau, Sheriff's Office detectives identified Rodriguez-Lorenzo on Monday, Oct. 29, and brought Gallo-Gallardo in for questioning with a bilingual detective.

During his interview, Gallo-Gallardo reportedly admitted to killing his wife, and he was booked into Clackamas County Jail without bail, pending trial for a charge of murder. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office inmate roster, Gallo-Gallardo had no prior charges or convictions.

"Safety is our number one priority for those at camp, including renters, campers and our staff," Camp Namanu staff members said in a statement. "We have been and will continue to work with the authorities as they investigate this incident."
