Downtown Gresham was filled with hundreds of children showing off their amazing Halloween costumes during the city's annual Safe Trick-or-Treat event.

Business owners handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters throughout Wednesday evening, Oct. 31, as many showed up despite the gloomy weather.

There were families of superheroes, werewolves and vampires, space marines, princesses, animals of all shapes and sizes, witches, ghosts, skeletons, and

everything in between.

The event was fun for all ages, as parents, business owners and even dogs donned costumes of their own.OUTLOOK PHOTO: CHRISTOPHER KEIZUR - Most of the downtown businesses gave out candy to the costumed trick-or-treaters during the annual event Wednesday, Oct. 31.
