Janine Gladfelter elected to Gresham City Council
Janine Gladfelter has been elected to Gresham City Council Position 6 after running unopposed for the seat.
Gladfelter, 52, received 18,392 votes, or 98 percent, after results were updated as of noon Wednesday, Nov. 7.
"I'm honored, it's a privilege to continue on the council," Gladfelter said during a campaign celebration on election night in downtown Gresham. "I'm looking forward to working together with the community and finding solutions."
She originally joined the council after being appointed to fill the vacant seat in January 2017. Gladfelter has been a resident of Gresham for 15 years and is the manager of the Gresham U.S. Bank branch.
She is a member of the city's Finance Committee and served on the Community Development and Housing Subcommittee.
Gladfelter's priorities are about bolstering the various task forces serving the city, supporting Fire and Emergency Services, collaborating to find solutions for housing and finding more funding for parks and recreation.
