Police say Troutdale resident Patricia Dryden was crossing Burnside Road when she was struck on Wednesday night, Nov. 7

CONTRIBUTED PHOTO: KOIN 6 - A pedestrian was seriously hurt when they were hit by car in Gresham on November 7, 2018. The pedestrian hit by a car on Southeast Burnside Road in Gresham Wednesday night, Nov. 7, has died in a local hospital.

The woman hit was 72-year-old Patricia Dryden of Troutdale. Gresham police said she suffered severe injuries in the collision that happened at about 7:15 p.m. Dryden was attempting to cross Burnside Road near Southeast Third Street in front of Fred Meyer. She was not in a crosswalk, and the driver stayed at the scene.

Police said speed and alcohol did not appear to be a factor and no citations have been issued.
