There's still time to get insurance under the Affordable Care Act, visit HealthCare.gov

PHOTO COURTESY OF THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION - Still time to sighn up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. About 8,000 people in Gresham and Troutdale are among the more than 100,000 Oregonians eligible for health insurance subsidies who didn't apply for them last year.

There's about two weeks left in the enrollment period under the federal Affordable Care Act.

Oregonians who do not get health insurance through their job or a program such as the Oregon Health Plan or Medicare may qualify for help paying for 2019 coverage under the ACA at HealthCare.gov. The deadline to sign up is Saturday, Dec. 15.

Individuals making about $48,000 or less per year, and families of four making about $100,000 or less, could get help paying for coverage.

To apply, answer a few Oregon-specific questions to get to the correct application. Or people can search the "get help" directory on the site to find an insurance agent or community partner who can help complete the application and enroll.
