Do you ever find yourself thinking about water? If yes, then take part in Groundwater 101 — a free educational workshop that teaches all the groundwater basics including local geology and hydrology, the role groundwater plays in our drinking water system and what you can do to protect this important resource.

The workshop, hosted by the Portland Water Bureau and the Columbia Slough Watershed Council, runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at McKinstry Co., 16790 N.E. Mason St.

The interactive event is appropriate for adults and youths ages 17 and up. Light refreshments will be provided.
