On Monday morning, Dec. 10, Amazon surprised Human Solutions with a $100,000 donation and holiday gifts to support families struggling with poverty across the community. The gift was made in downtown Portland, where families decorated cookies, played games and took family portraits.

"Human Solutions is deeply grateful for this generous investment from Amazon that will fuel our work fighting homelessness and housing instability," said Andy Miller, Human Solutions executive director. "It is together with partners like Amazon that we will create a community where everyone has a safe place to call home."

The monetary donation by Amazon marked the largest non-restricted corporate donation in the company's history. It was part of an annual holiday campaign to celebrate communities across the country.

"Human Solutions has given so much to the community for the last 30 years through their dedication to helping families find pathways out of poverty, and we're excited to be partners in this important work," said Mike Moore, general manager of Amazon's Troutdale fulfillment center.
