LGGP helps government agencies fund outdoor park, recreation facilities, acquire property for parks

The Local Government Grant Program (LGGP) is accepting applications for the 2019 grant cycle.

LGGP helps local government agencies fund outdoor park and recreation facilities, and acquire property for parks. Approximately $5.4 million in reimbursement funds are available for the 2019 cycle.

Eligible applicants include cities, counties, metropolitan service districts, parks and recreation districts, and port districts.

Two workshops will be held in February to help applicants navigate the application process and learn about the program:

n In-person workshop: 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Feb. 7, in Salem

n Webinar workshop: 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Feb. 14, online
